01

About this policy

Visit Tunis is a tourism discovery and content service operated by Prenero Solutions. This Privacy Policy applies when you use the Visit Tunis mobile application, visit the Visit Tunis website, create or manage a customer account, or contact us about the service.

By “Visit Tunis,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean the team responsible for the Visit Tunis app and services. This policy does not replace notices presented at the point where a particular device permission is requested.

02

Information we handle

The information handled depends on the features you use. It may include:

Account details

Your name, email address, account identifier, and password. Passwords are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored as a one-way hash rather than readable text.

Optional profile details

Information you choose to add, such as phone number, gender, address, city, state, country, postal code, and profile photo.

Location

When you open a map feature and grant permission, the app can access your approximate or precise device location to show your position and nearby places. Visit Tunis does not request background location access.

Selected photos

If you add a profile image, the app accesses only the photo you select and uploads it to our service. It does not scan your entire photo library.

App and device information

Language and display preferences, sign-in state, app interactions needed to provide requested features, and basic technical logs such as request time, IP address, error details, and device or browser information.

Communications

Information you include when contacting support or when you choose to start a phone call, email, or WhatsApp conversation with a listed tourism provider.

If you enable notifications, the app uses the Android notification permission to display Visit Tunis alerts. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

03

How we use information

We use information only when needed to operate and improve Visit Tunis, including to:

  • Create, authenticate, and maintain your account.
  • Display and update your profile and saved preferences.
  • Provide maps, location-aware features, tourism listings, and content you request.
  • Upload a profile image when you choose one.
  • Keep the service secure, prevent misuse, diagnose errors, and maintain reliability.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and account-deletion requests.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not use personal information for unrelated advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

04

When information is shared

We disclose information only where necessary for the purposes described above:

  • Infrastructure providers. Hosting, storage, security, and technical providers may process information on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Google Maps Platform. Map and location features use Google Maps services. Google may process map interactions and device information under the Google Privacy Policy.
  • User-directed communications. When you choose to call, email, visit a website, or open WhatsApp for a tourism provider, the information you send is handled by that provider and the communication service you selected.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information where required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the public, our rights, or the security of the service.
  • Business changes. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection and notice where required.

05

Storage and security

Some account and preference information is stored locally on your device so the app can remember your language, account, and sign-in state. Account and profile information is also stored on Visit Tunis servers.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards, including encrypted network connections, one-way password hashing, access controls, and limited access to production systems. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your device protected.

06

How long we keep information

We retain account and profile information while your account is active and for only as long afterward as reasonably necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, protect the service, or meet legal obligations. Technical logs are retained for a limited period appropriate to security and troubleshooting needs.

When an account-deletion request is completed, we delete or de-identify the associated personal information unless a limited record must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons. Any retained information is restricted to that purpose and deleted when the retention need ends.

07

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

  • Update available profile details from the account area in the app.
  • Turn location, photo, or notification permissions on or off in Android settings.
  • Sign out to remove the active session and most locally stored profile information from the app.
  • Contact us to request a copy, correction, or deletion of information associated with your account.

08

Request account deletion

You can request permanent deletion of your Visit Tunis account and associated personal information by emailing our privacy contact from the email address used for your account.

Delete your Visit Tunis account

Use the subject “Visit Tunis account deletion request” and include only the email address registered to your account. We may reply with a limited verification step to protect your account from unauthorised deletion.

Request account deletion

We will confirm receipt and normally complete a verified request within 30 days. Your account, profile details, and uploaded profile image will be deleted or de-identified, except for information that must be retained for the limited reasons described in the retention section above.

09

Children’s privacy

Visit Tunis is a general travel service and is not directed specifically to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child who is not permitted to provide it without appropriate parental or guardian consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please contact us so we can investigate and delete it.

10

International processing

Visit Tunis and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and continue to protect information as described in this policy.

11

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Where a change is material, we will provide an additional notice when required.
